About
AMANDA
Amanda Duisenberg is a dynamic performer, director, and educator based in New York City.
Originally from California, she earned a double major in Voice and Theatre Arts from Jessup University before making the leap to NYC, where she completed her Master of Music in Musical Theatre and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy at NYU—graduating in the unforgettable year of 2020.
From the moment she set foot in the city, Amanda knew she was home. A self-proclaimed New Yorker at heart, she is deeply passionate about reimagining classic works while championing the evolution of musical theatre—both artistically and socially. With a love for repertoire spanning from the Golden Age to the grand spectacle of Mega Musicals, she finds inspiration (and life guidance) in the lyrics of Stephen Sondheim.
An award-winning director, Amanda has helmed over 50 productions, working with artists from ages 5 to 75. As a dedicated voice teacher, she has taught at universities on both coasts and currently offers private coaching in NYC.
Beyond the stage and studio, she finds joy in exploring the city, expanding her vinyl and Playbill collections, and staying emotionally invested in Amy Sherman-Palladino’s TV universes—all while never missing her daily iced latte.
She looks forward to collaborating with you!
